Nocturnal Musings
4:36am - Mar 29, 2010

I'm sitting here at my desk in the very early hours of a Monday morning. The glow of one lamp chases away the darkness of the room and keeps the cold blackness of pre-dawn away as I write, and the silence of the house allows me to focus on what I want to say to you.

I've always been this way; a night creature, not exactly in tune with most of the people in this work-a-day world. I'm practically comatose in the morning, fairly dull in the afternoon,

The unseasonably warm weather has got me thinking about how much I enjoy living in the Maritimes. When I find myself wrapped in a warm blanket, staring out the window as the snow swirls outside my window, thinking of soft white sands on a Florida beach somewhere, I can actually (don't laugh!) be glad to be where I am. I knew I wanted to write from the time I first held a pencil and discovered the glory of expressing myself through words...oh, the pictures they painted in my mind! Now that the kids have flown the nest, I have realized my dream.

My first book, Circle of Grace, is being published by The Wild Rose Press, first as a downloadable version on October 31, 2008, and t
